Who said vegan food has to be all clean eating?
We’ve snuffled our way through Bristol to discover some of the best vegan venues to indulge your dirty side in.
First up is Vx, who are a vegan fastfood joint on East Street, Bedminster. Their whole menu is based around celebrating dirty vegan food. You can also check out their other vegan delights (including vegan doughnuts, hotdogs and burgers) here: https://www.getawriggleon.com/guides/bristol/vx
Based on Picton Street, Montpellier, Oowee Diner has quickly risen to cult-like status for their dirty burgers. But their vegan dishes are just as dirty and delicious. Their buffalo vegan fries are a particular favourite. Find out more about them here: https://www.getawriggleon.com/guides/bristol/oowee-diner
Flour & Ash on Cheltenham Road are one of the darlings of the Bristol pizza scene in Bristol, with critics and Bristolians both raving about them. Their vegan pizza is a brilliant example of them not conforming to the norm, by shunning vegan cheese and developing their flavour base elsewhere. Based up in Fishponds, Matter Fastfoods is Britain’s first vegan fish & chip shop. Using tofu instead of fish has meant vegans can now enjoy the British classic.
